New Physician Office Building in the Brewton Medical Center Complex

BREWTON, AL - The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced the ground breaking for a new physician office building in the Brewton Medical Center Complex.

"We are happy to announce that construction is underway," chairman, Ruth Harrell said. "The Healthcare Authority is continually looking to improve and upgrade our healthcare facilities in the community."

The new building, which will become the new home of Surgical Associates of South Alabama, is located directly across the parking lot from the existing Brewton Medical Center.

"The new physician office building will house our communities General Surgery Practice and will be a great benefit to our local citizens," Harrell stated. "We are very pleased to be able to work with Dr. Boshell and Dr. Peterson in this endeavor."

The new physician office building will be approximately 3,800 square feet, it will feature space for six (6) new exam rooms and will have space to accommodate three (3) general surgeons. The look of the building will be similar to the existing buildings in the Brewton Medical Center Complex and the anticipated completion is during the first quarter of 2014.
