Support Groups that Meet at the Hospital

D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital offers several support groups to the community. Contact Marcia De Graaf at the Hospital at (251) 809-8309 for further information and specific meetings dates and topics. Other contacts are listed below.

The Alzheimer's Support Group usually meets regularly on the first Monday of each month at noon.

The Cancer Support Group, a cancer support and education group open to all persons with cancer and their caregivers, meets regularly in the Education Center on the first Wednesday of each month at noon with lunch provided from the hospital dining room.

The American Cancer Society loan closet for cancer patients who need wigs, bras, prostheses, and turbans is open in the Human Resources/Education Department.

The Lupus Support Group meets regularly on the second Wednesday of each month with lunch provided at 11:00 am and the meeting at 11:30 am. Questions? Call the Lupus Support Network at (800) 458-8211.

DWM Sr. Health Advantage, D.W. McMillan Hospital's program for seniors, meets monthly with presentations of interest to seniors 50 and older.
