Brewton, AL - D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital announced that Deborah "Ivy" Brown, MSN, FNP-C has joined the staff of D.W. McMillan After Hours Clinic. Brown will began seeing patients in January and will be full-time working alongside the current full-time Advanced Practice Practitioner, Gray Garrett, NP in March.

"We are very happy to have Ivy join the D.W. McMillan team," stated Chris Griffin, hospital administrator. "We have had inconsistent scheduling in the clinic for the last couple months and look forward to Ivy bringing consistent scheduling for our patients in the community. In addition, she will be solidifying an already excellent healthcare staff at the After Hours Clinic."

While discussing her new role at the After Hours Clinic, Brown stated, "I am grateful for the opportunity at D.W. McMillan and look forward to delivering quality healthcare to my community."

Brown received her Masters of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from Simmons College in Boston, Mass. and completed her undergraduate studies from the University of Mobile. More recently, Ivy provided patient care in the Emergency Department at Providence Hospital in Mobile as a certified registered nurse practitioner. Prior to becoming a CRNP, Brown worked as a Registered Nurse for Monroe County Hospital, Springhill Memorial Hospital, Mobile Infirmary and was also an instructor at Reid State Technical College.

According to hospital officials, standard office visit co-pays will apply for the Clinic. The D.W. McMillan After Hours Clinic will be open Monday - Friday from 4:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and weekends from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. The D.W.
