Al Holley, Named Healthcare Authority Board

BREWTON, AL - Alexis Maloy of the Escambia County Healthcare Authority (ECHCA), announced her retirement from the Board at the Authority's meeting in December 2018. The ECHCA is the governing body over D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital and Atmore Community Hospital and related entities. Board members are appointed by the Escambia County Commission.

ECHCA CEO, Chris Griffin noted that Maloy will be remembered for her unselfish devotion and distinguished service to the healthcare needs of the citizens of Escambia County and to the Escambia County Healthcare Authority.

"Alexis has contributed greatly to meeting the healthcare needs of the citizens of Escambia County during her tenure as a board member of the Escambia County Healthcare Authority," Chairman, Debbie Rowell said. "We cannot fully express our gratitude to Alexis for her years of service and dedication."

Sharon Davidson, board member agreed with Rowell stating, "Alexis has provided a great service and we want to thank her for her commitment to the citizens of our county."

It was also announced during the meeting that Al Holley has been appointed by the Escambia County Commission to fill the Healthcare Authority vacancy created by Maloy's retirement. Holley has been a Vice President and Community Bank Business Lender (Brewton) at United Bank since 2014 and has been in the banking industry since 1994. Al is a Veteran of the United States Navy with 10 years of active duty and 11 years in the reserves beginning in 1977. He retired in 1998 with rank of Hospital Corpsman Chief.

"We are very fortunate to have a qualified individual like Mr. Holley appointed to the Healthcare Authority," Davidson said. "I am confident he will have a very positive impact on serving the healthcare needs of Escambia County."
