Case Management

Case management begins when a patient is admitted to our hospital and continues daily until the patient is discharged. We inform proper agencies/insurance companies of medical necessity and intensity of service on all admissions. Case management coordinates with physicians and other departments for pre-certification, certification of admissions and continued stay days. We coordinate and communicate with the Discharge Planner and patient any needs and follow-up the patient may need upon discharge.

INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT CODING

The Inpatient and Outpatient Coder analyzes and accurately assigns the appropriate ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes in accordance with coding guidelines. The Outpatient coder codes all Emergency Room visits, surgical outpatients, physician clinics and diagnostic test. The Inpatient Coder codes all inpatient and observation admissions.
