Inpatient Acute Care at DWMMH A 44-bed medical surgical unit provides care for patients needing treatment for acute illnesses or short-term postoperative care. Patients requiring prolonged recuperation or rehabilitation are possible candidates for long-term care. A 10-bed pediatric unit adjacent to the medical surgical unit provides care for pediatric patients with acute illnesses or for short-term postoperative care. An 8-bed intensive care unit provides care to patients requiring critical care and constant monitoring. A 10-bed obstetrics and gynecology unit also includes a labor and delivery suite and newborn nursery. |
