Brewton, AL - The Women's Center at D. W. McMillan Memorial Hospital has a new feel. Plush robes that is, thanks to a donation from the East Brewton Church of God.

"We were very thankful for the donation," said Kathy McGill, hospital radiology manager. "The East Brewton Church of God raised the money necessary by holding a 5K fun run."

The Women's Center robes are available during all Women's Center appointments. One of the benefits is the plush robes not only feel better, but they are aimed at helping the patients stay warm as well. Patients of the Women's Center were able to begin using the robes in March.

"Everyone has been very thankful for the donation by the East Brewton Church of God," said Jackie Kemp, hospital mammographer. "One less uncomfortable portion of our exams will hopefully get more women who need to be screened schedule an appointment."

The Women's Center of D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital was renovated in October 2013. The renovated center includes digital mammography, ultrasound, a modern waiting room and private dressing rooms.
