BREWTON, AL - D.W. McMillan hospital officials announce the addition of Gregory E. Harris, D.O. to their specialty clinics. Harris, who works with Woodlands Medical Specialists, is an Oncology and Hematology physician. He will work in conjunction with Dr. Rami Owera and Nurse Practitioner Nikki Kelley.

"Dr. Harris and Woodlands Medical Specialists are providing a valuable service to patients in our area," said Chris Griffin, Hospital Administrator. "Normally patients would have to drive an hour for these services and with the specialty clinic at the hospital they can see the doctor here."

Dr. Harris earned his medical degree from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing medical school, Dr. Harris served as Chief Resident during his Internal Medicine residency, followed by a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Michigan State University Genesys Regional Medical Center. Dr. Harris is board certified in Osteopathic Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI).

"I am very excited to begin seeing patients in Brewton," said Dr. Harris. "I look forward to continuing the work D.W. McMillan Hospital and Woodlands Medical Specialists have been doing for area oncology patients."

In addition to Dr. Harris, the D.W. McMillan Specialty Clinic also has Dr. Rami Owera and Nikki Kelley, ARNP from Woodlands Medical Specialists traveling weekly to Brewton to see oncology patients.
