BREWTON, AL - D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital has upgraded their computed topography (CT) system. The new GE Optima CT540 is designed to optimize the patient experience while continuing to provide exquisite image quality.

"We are excited to have our new CT system," said Kathy McGill, hospital radiology manager. "The new system should be faster and provide doctors with enhanced images for clearer visibility."

In addition to boasting higher speed scans and higher image quality, the new CT system also may lower the dose needed to complete scans with the GE ASiR technology. All of these advances are aimed at providing the doctors with a more confident diagnosis which can lead to better care for your loved ones.

The new CT system is located in the radiology department at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital. The radiology department accepts appointments weekly Monday through Friday. Patients wanting to utilize the new and upgraded CT technology should request a referral from their personal physician.

"We continue to search for ways to make our patients more comfortable about their visit," Chris Griffin, D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital administrator said. "Be it updating our technology or services, we want to make our patients our first priority by offering state of the art services right here in Brewton."
